Cliona's Foundation
A seriously ill child is every parent's worst nightmare, and while we're well aware of the emotional toll, we often forget the extreme financial difficulties that can fall upon families in this already difficult circumstance. Cliona's Foundation was founded to take even the smallest bit of pressure from parents, and provide financial aid to families of children with life limiting conditions. This can cover anything from basics such as rent, food and utility bills to the unexpected costs that so often blindside parents such as transportation for chemotherapy or alternative therapies or having to give up work to care for their child, to something as simple as a treat for a sibling that can make the heartbreaking situation even the smallest bit easier. Since it's launch, Cliona's Foundation has relied on income raised fully from fundraising, to provide much needed assistance over 900 families across Ireland and continues every day to work to ease this financial pressure.
