"Rumour Has It" You Can Create Adele's Vogue Cover With These 6 Must Have Makeup Items!

If you had walked into our office this morning there’s no denying that you would have gotten a shock when you found, instead of our usually scheduled Friday morning disco, the GTT girls in our office listening to Adele’s newest song. Our favourite singer to cry to seems to be having a real moment right now and we can see these next few months being dominated mostly by Adele, we can’t wait! But this week, in between discussing her Instagram lives and curating a tier list of my favourite songs (All I Ask is the only correct answer here), all I’ve been able to think about is her recent vogue cover, in all her natural fresh faced glory. But really, can you blame me? This stunning look was created using mostly Pat McGrath Labs products but lets be real, who has the time or budget for this? Here’s how you can recreate this look with some more purse friendly products!

Lets start with the base! This soft, glowy skin look was created using the Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Foundation. This is a lightweight foundation that’s easily blended and has been described as almost like a “second skin”. So what better product to use in its place than the Second Skin Foundation from our Sculpted by Aimee Range? Like the Pat McGrath foundation, this one offers a medium but buildable coverage. Even better, our Sculpted foundation contains our current skin saviour: hyaluronic acid for a youthful glow.

The only difference here is that the Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection just so happens to be self setting meaning that you might need some help from a setting powder or setting spray to help keep this stunning look in place all day! One of our favourites right now is the Isadora x Una Healy loose setting powder in Translucent. This one gives the skin a soft focus similar to the effect of the foundation in the Vogue cover look.

When it came to eyes the team used the stunning Mothership II Sublime Palette from the same brand. This palette is a collection of warm neutrals and jaw dropping jewel tones. This sultry gold eye look could be recreated super easily using the Starstruck palette from Inglot. This 8 pan palette contains 3 easy blended matte shades for a natural look but my eye can’t help but be drawn to those intense shimmer shades. The best part is that this palette also includes a bronzer and highlight to help create that all important inner eye highlight to have a brightening effect on the eyes.

Is it really an Adele makeup look without a liquid liner cat eye? This one in particular was created using the Perma Precision Liquid Liner from yep, you guessed it, Pat McGrath Labs! This has been described as “an intense inky hue with a velvety matte finish” and is universally loved due to it’s staying power as well as its easy application due to the fine tip, giving the user more control over the application. You could recreate the iconic flick using our Sosu by SJ divine duo, a jet black liquid liner that’s super easy to apply as well as mess free (a must when applying liquid liner). Just like the Pat McGrath liner, this one stays all day and even better, also acts as a false lash adhesive! The days of taking out entire clumps of your eyelashes trying to wash off your lash glue are gone!

For the lips, the team went simple with a nude lip created using the Mattetrance Lipstick in 1995, a warm nude with a matte finish, and the PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Structure, a darker brown to create a contoured pout. One of our current favourites, the Sculpted by Aimee Lip Duo in Coffee Combo. Believe us when we say that this lipstick goes on like a dream, more similar to a lip balm than a lipstick and blends super easily into the liner to create this same contoured look. Kylie Jenner, eat your heart out! The best part is that the liner and lipstick come in the same tube, meaning that you don’t have to deal with the heartbreak of finding a lip liner that you love, only to loose that evening. What is it about lip liners that are so hard to keep track of?
