Who says occasion dresses have to be long?
There's 3 things you need to know about the GTT Gals:
Firstly, the majority of us are on the bit of the short side, meaning we can't usually get as much wear out of knee length midi's as your average girl. Secondly, there's nothing we love more than a good occasion to get ourselves glammed up for! Thirdly, we're all a bit last minute when it comes to actually getting dresses for these occasions. Fashion shows during lunchtime or on a Friday evening are no rare occurrence in our offices!
However, this usually does leave us with less options to wear as we can be a bit limited! This had a major part in creating our deep love, and endless gratitude (A bit dramatic?) of the classic mini dress!
Mini dresses are always a go to style for any event, from cute skaters for family occasions, to more fitted figure hugging dresses for nights out, to day dresses. No matter what the occasion is these dresses can be so easily dressed up or down to suit your preferences.
I've been obsessing over the throwback 70's style of our Abigail dress.
That floral print and pops of bright spring colours would be perfect for any family communions or confirmations coming up this spring/summer season! The belt in the middle would pull in the waist perfectly to create more waist definition in such a subtle way to make it look like this is completely natural. The skater style skirt flows over the hips and stomach area to hide any lumps and bumps or problem areas!
Go all out 70's glam in this one with summery white barely there's or dress it up with rose gold heels!
Our Delilah dress has been another all time fave from our past few photoshoots.
How gorge is that blush toned floral print? The V neck is such a classic cut for night out dresses while it isn't too deep or plunging for those family occasions. The puffy sleeves are also super on trend while still being classy and understated.
Bring the edgy vibes to this ultra feminine dress with a leather jacket and some biker boots. An alternative is to go super girly in a pair of nude court heels with a clutch to match to bring out those pretty pink florals!
Polka dots are set to be huge this year and this cute pattern is one of the many reasons we've fallen in love with the Safiyah dress.
This simple mini with the frill down the front is such a classic style while the monochrome colours and understated print means that this dress is super versatile and allows for plenty of options when it comes to shoes and accessories.
While we've been eyeing it up to wear with tights, a chunky knit cardi and comfy flats for work it could also be FAB with bare legs and ankle boots for a night out with the girls, as would any of our more casual dresses!
How unreal would our Twiggy dress be for a hen party or a dressy night out?
We've been loving how classy this white mini dress looks while the puffy mesh sleeves and embroidered floral detail adds a super trendy touch to it. Again, the plain white colour gives you plenty of options to go for with shoes for this one.
You could go super plain with rose gold heels for this one while still standing out with those puff sleeves or you could go for a statement bright shoe like red or orange while still finding the perfect balance between classy and trendy due to the simple plain style of the body of the dress!
When it comes to Wedding Guest dresses, a mini is always an option as well. A glam dress doesn't always have to mean floor length!
Our Eleanor dress would be super cute for this!
The frills at the skirt of this one are super cute while the cut out in the middle finds the perfect balance between dressy and flirty. We've also been loving the cold shoulder effect of this dress along with the sweetheart style neckline along underneath the high neck of the high neck embroidered mesh at the top!
Navy is always so glam and classy when paired with gold to this one would be perfect with a pair of rose gold barely there's!
If you're not mad about any of these mini's you can always find loads more in the mini dress section of our website!
