Let’s take a trip down memory lane: back in the beginning of Autumn 2018 your favourite GTT girls thought we had everything we needed in our wardrobes and were quite happily living our little lives filled with bucket hats and dad trainers. Little did we know that one of our favourite brands would be dropping their A/W18 Season full of glorious leopard print, changing our lives forever…not to be dramatic or anything! The return of this print would become one of the major defining fashion statement of the year, and we found ourselves filling our wardrobes with leopard dresses and coats, despite our best intentions, and hoping that the trend would stick around for the next few years. Now here we are 3 years later (how did that happen?) and leopard print did end up sticking around, and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon! The print is now such a wardrobe staple that it can actually be seen as a neutral. Whether it’s a dress, a coat or a cosy knit jumper we still can’t get enough of this print in every form!
This dress from Ivy Lane combines leopard print with the stunning, rich Autumn colours that we’re obsessed with! The shirred waistline adds definition and shape to the waist while the elasticated fabric makes for maximum comfort. The frill hem at the bottom adds a feminine finish to such a bold statement dress as well as adding a bit of volume to the bottom half of the body making it the perfect option for our apple shaped girls!
We’re big lovers of the midi skirt and find it to be such a versatile style that you can easily dress up with heels and a bodysuit or dress down with trainers and a slogan tee. The elasticated waistline of this one means that it’s slimming as well as being super comfortable while the subtle pleats are a universally flattering style by adding volume to the bottom half of the body without making it seem too wide.
Cute knits are having a huge moment this year, and we knew as soon as we saw this one from Sugar hill that it would be a new favourite of ours! Leopard print has been such a huge trend for the past few years that it can now be seen as almost safe, but the bold colour of this jumper really adds an element of interest to the outfit and makes it a true statement piece.
And it doesn’t just stop with casual wear, this trend also extends to occasion wear and this dress from Ax Paris would be ideal! The V Neckline and faux wrap style is a universally flattering style that elongates the body, lifts the bust, and defines the waist. The faux wrap style paired with the lightweight fabric also adds a lot of movement to the dress an a really comfortable way!
Managed to book a holiday? Firstly, any room in the suitcase for us? Secondly, we’ve got the perfect statement swimwear! The V neck of this one elongates the body as well as showing a small bit of cleavage while still being super comfortable. The high legged style works to elongate the legs as well as highlight the thighs and hips giving you the perfect opportunity to highlight your curves.
