Got Your Invitation? We've got your 'fit!

With the easing of restrictions, there's one situation that we've completely forgotten about in the past few months: the stress of an upcoming occasion when you have absolutely nothing to wear. Whether you've put off buying a dress until you find the perfect one, or are trying to shift those final pounds, or let's be real here just simply lost track of time, when it comes down to last minute shopping for these occasions it can often be more stress than it's worth and can leave you wearing a dress that you're not 100% comfortable in. That's where we come in with some last minute looks that are always a good go to!

I won't lie to you girls, this dress slipped my mind until our very own Angeline tried it on for our Instagram stories this week and just had to come downstairs and show us just how flattering it is! Not only are the peach tones and watercolour inspired florals perfect for spring, but the cut and style is universally flattering in such a subtle way. The stitching right under the bust lifts this area in a really natural way while the lightweight mateiral skims over the hips and stomach area. The puff shoulders add a little bit of structure and definition to the top of the body, but the best part of all (aside from the pockets) just has to be the beautiful tie detail at the back of the dress and exposed gold zip!

You know how much we love a wrap dress and really, can you blame us for our obsession with this universally flattering style? The all over ditsy florals and pastel colour brings a feminine feel to such a simple, classic dress. The puff sleeves add volume to the top of the body and have a super flattering effect on the arms. The deep v neck and wrap detail lifts the bust in a really natural way while also adding shape to the waistline and drawing the eye to this area. The lightweight material adds movement and gives the dress a romantic, floaty feel while ensuring that it doesn't cling to the body.

Oh don't mind me, I'm just racking my brain for reasons to wear this dress in the next few weeks! The sweetheart neckline is one of our favourite styles and is a foolproof way of stubtly creating the illusion of curves. In addition to this, the watercoloured florals throughout as well as the ruffle detailing on the neckline brings a sweet, feminine feel to this dress without feeling as if it's "too much". The puff sleeves again are always a flattering style and are a great option if you're a little bit uncomfortable with your arms while the slit up the side shows off a little bit of skin and adds movement to the dress.

A smock dress is yet another favourite of ours, due to the slimming style. This dress is designed to be looser fitting and skim over the stomach and mid section rather than cling to these areas. If you're looking to add a little bit more shape and definition to your silhouette you can do this really easily by pairing a belt to help you achieve that coveted hourglass figure!

More of a jumpsuit kinda girl? Well of course we've got you covered as always! Closet London is always our go to when it comes to occasion wear, and this jumpsuit is the perfect example! The dark colour and structured style gives the jumpsuit a really simple, chic feel while the velvet material adds a fun touch of personality. The cap sleeves really add to the laid back feel and the tie detail at the waist adds shape. In addition to this, the culotte style is always super flattering on the legs as it skims over the hips and gives the figure a beautiful streamlined look.
